  23. --  4. TOOL DESCRIPTION :  As a demonstration of the use of Ada for 
  24. --    command and control applications, the current airborne and ground
  25. --    mobile systems at SAC (600,000 LOC - JOVIAL) are being consolidated
  26. --    into a mobile data management system using a common data format
  27. --    and query language with graphical display capabilities.
  28. --    The system includes an integrated data management system, automatic and
  29. --    manual update of the data, data retrieval, building and maintaining
  30. --    displays as well as interaction with the working file, display transfers,
  31. --    and manual backup.  It uses a multiple task environment to interface with
  32. --    several I/O devices, enter data into and retrieve data from similar
  33. --    systems across the communication links, and provide timely access to
  34. --    about 500 million characters of data.
